Here are 7 quick tips for all parkrunners to help ensure that our events are as safe and fun as possible.

Please consider the weather and conditions before bringing your furry friends to parkrun. If it's hot for us, it's certainly hot for them!
Remember to consider the surfaces they will be on, as well as bringing along water and a bowl for them to use.

We are so excited to be supporting so many participants at our events each weekend. Whether you have participated for the first time, are reaching a milestone or anything in between, we want to ensure everybody is safe in the soaring temperatures we are seeing across our regions.

Queensland Day 2026
parkrun Australia and the Queensland Government have teamed up to promote parkrun events as the best possible way to kick off Queensland Day on Saturday 6 June. We know parkrunners love nothing more than dressing up at parkrun, so as part of the celebrations we are encouraging parkruns to turn maroon for one day. There are two tiles to download and use: one square and one vertical.
